The International Visegrad Fund is now accepting submissions for the Visegrad+ Grant Program. This program supports projects that contribute to democratization and transformation processes across the Visegrad region and beyond.
Objectives
Eligible projects must address one or more of the following objectives:
- Culture and Common Identity: Projects that create or present common audiovisual, literary, or contemporary art products, reflect on shared historical and cultural heritage, or foster regional cultural cooperation.
- Education and Capacity Building: Projects that strengthen educational networks, support student and educator mobility, and improve skills through various educational methods.
- Innovation, R&D, Entrepreneurship: Projects focused on building business networks, addressing economic challenges, and advancing innovation and technology.
- Democratic Values and the Media: Projects promoting democratic participation, transparency, media literacy, and better media coverage in the V4 region.
- Public Policy and Institutional Partnership: Projects connecting expert communities to tackle policy challenges and promote good governance.
- Regional Development, Environment, and Tourism: Projects offering solutions to climate change, promoting sustainable tourism, and innovating in local infrastructure development.
- Social Development: Projects promoting inclusivity, improving social care, and addressing public health challenges.
Funding Information
The grant covers up to 100% of the project budget, with a maximum of 15% allocated for overhead costs.
Duration
Projects can be implemented for a maximum duration of 18 months.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), public institutions, municipalities, and local governments.
- Companies with a non-profit character, especially those involved in innovation and startups.
- Entities with full or partial independence from state administration.
Applicants must ensure meaningful cooperation involving at least 3 V4 countries and 1 entity from the Eastern Partnership (EaP) or Western Balkans (WB) region.
Ineligibility Criteria
Ineligible entities include:
- Institutions under state administration (e.g., ministries, government agencies).
- Natural persons.
- Private entrepreneurs.
Special Conditions
For Ukrainian entities, the application can involve only 2 V4 partners without additional EaP/WB countries.
