The Agency for International Development has launched the USAID Integrated Delivery of Tuberculosis Service (iDOTS) Activity Program. This initiative aims to reach every person with tuberculosis (TB), provide necessary treatments, prevent new infections, and promote innovations in TB care and treatment, while enhancing local ownership and integrating TB services within primary health care systems.
Goals
The iDOTS Activity aims to reduce TB incidence and mortality through data-driven, locally led strategies, contributing to the achievement of the End TB Strategy targets for 2030, and aligning with the USAID Global TB Accelerator Plus.
Focus
iDOTS focuses on:
- Identifying high-risk groups and geographic hotspots for targeted TB screening and treatment.
- Partnering with health ministries and both formal and informal health sectors to strengthen TB services.
