UNDP announces grant support to a public association for holding one preparatory working session in Khatlon and the Second National Youth Forum in Dushanbe.

Purpose

The grant aims to engage young people in Tajikistan in national policy discussions on Sustainable Development Goals, Rule of Law, and Access to Justice, ensuring their voices contribute to the creation of inclusive and equitable policies.

Scope of the Grant

The grant supports the following activities:

  • Organize and conduct the 2nd National Youth Forum for 150 participants, including 25 youth from a pre-forum preparatory workshop and 50 law students from five universities.
  • Provide oral advocacy skills training for participants to present recommendations at the 10th National Rule of Law Forum.
  • Develop detailed final narrative and financial reports, including recommendations for strengthening future National Youth Forums.

Funding Information

The grant amount is $20,000.

Target Location

The grant activities will be conducted in Dushanbe and Khatlon.

Timeframe

The grant period runs from 10 September to 30 November 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a legally registered CSO in Tajikistan.
  • Have at least four years of experience in empowering and representing youth (ages 18-30).
  • Have practical experience in facilitating forums, conferences, or events with 50 or more participants.
  • Possess technical and administrative capacity, including office, personnel, and equipment.
  • Have experience cooperating with national or international organizations on rule of law, human rights, youth, and access to justice.
