Award Purpose
This award aims to understand how social innovations create impact, and discover how to scale or integrate effective interventions into the larger health system. Social innovations in health (SIH) refer to new solutions—whether products, services, models, or processes—developed by multi-sectoral health system actors to address health needs more effectively than existing approaches.
These innovations have the potential to change the health system by strengthening relationships between people and improving the use of available resources.
Prize Information
The top innovations in health will receive:
- 1st place: PHP 300,000
- 2nd place: PHP 200,000
- 3rd place: PHP 100,000
Additionally, winners will be eligible for funding for research and development projects, as well as a training and mentoring package with subject matter experts to help expand and scale their innovations.
Eligibility Criteria
This award is open to individuals, groups, and institutions in the Philippines that have successfully developed and implemented social innovations in health. Participating institutions may include:
- Public or private entities
- Members of a consortium
- Scientific, technological, and professional societies or associations
- Research institutes
- Universities and colleges
