Duration
Maximum of 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Scholars, professionals, and artists from all disciplines are welcome to apply, except clinical medicine.
- Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or terminal degree in their field.
- Successful candidates will have excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Applicants must have a clear and well-formulated proposal about their U.S. activities and how they relate to their work in Pakistan.
- Applicants for lectureship must have demonstrated teaching ability in a university setting.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Persons who have completed their Ph.D. within the last two years or have been in the U.S. for research or long-term educational opportunities within the last five years.
- Persons with dual U.S./Pakistan nationality or who have a U.S. citizen or permanent resident family member over 18 years old.
- Employees and dependents of USEFP or the U.S. Department of State.
- Persons already studying in the U.S. or on a work/residence visa in any country.
