Program Overview
Fellows will receive intensive theoretical and practical training through mentorship from experts and distinguished journalists from Fact-Check Ghana. The program will equip fellows to conduct investigations and report on issues related to environmental sustainability, governance, and human rights, aiming to hold duty-bearers accountable and improve lives in marginalized communities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a young journalist or a recent graduate in journalism or a related field, aged between 21 to 35 years.
- Have completed national service or be an entry or middle-level journalist in a Ghanaian newsroom.
- Be available to fully participate in the three-month fellowship, including all in-person and virtual training sessions and assignments.
- Be based in Accra or other regions in Ghana and have a flexible schedule to participate fully in the fellowship.
Fellows will be supported to produce compelling investigative and/or fact-checking reports and are expected to deliver at least one significant report by the end of the program. Successful completion of the fellowship will result in a Certificate of Honor.
