The Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls fund graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC-recognized university across Pakistan. These grants aim to make higher education more accessible, supporting women in achieving their potential and ambition.

Scholarship Details

The scholarships are available for candidates pursuing either:

  • Undergraduate level: A four-year bachelor’s degree in any HEC-recognized university in Pakistan.
  • Master’s level: A maximum two-year master’s/MPhil degree in any HEC-recognized university in Pakistan.

Subject Areas

The scholarship covers the following subject areas:

  • Education
  • Sustainable Energy
  • Food Security and Agriculture
  • Health Sciences
  • STEM (only for Master’s degree)

Award Information

The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Scheme provides:

  • Tuition fees for bachelor’s or master’s courses
  • University hostel costs
  • Travel to and from home to university two times a year for students staying in on-campus hostels

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree (2024-25)

  • Pakistani woman currently residing in Pakistan
  • Program duration of no longer than 4 years
  • Confirmed offer/admission from an HEC-recognized public university
  • Enrolled in one of the eligible subject areas

Master’s/MPhil Degree (2024-25)

  • Pakistani woman currently residing in Pakistan
  • Program duration of no longer than 2 years
  • Confirmed offer/admission from an HEC-recognized public or private university
  • Enrolled in one of the eligible subject areas
