France, a key player in climate change mitigation and the Paris Agreement, has launched the MOPGA Research Grant Program for young researchers. This program aims to enhance scientific contributions to climate change issues as addressed by COPs.

Benefits
- Monthly allowance of €2,500
- Installation allowance of €500
- Health insurance: coverage including health insurance, civil liability, and repatriation assistance until affiliation to French social security
- Supplementary health insurance: once social security affiliation is effective, coverage of supplementary health insurance, civil liability, and repatriation assistance
- A minimum of 60 scholarships will be awarded over a 12-month period starting in September 2025
- A research stay agreement with the host establishment will outline the resources provided by the laboratory in France for the successful completion of the research project
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be foreign researchers with a PhD degree obtained less than 5 years ago (defended between December 2019 and December 2024 inclusive)
- All nationalities are eligible except French nationality
- Researchers must not have resided in France for more than 90 days between September 5, 2024, and December 5, 2024
