The Danish Arts Foundation is accepting applications for its Performing Arts International Activities Program. This program aims to promote high-quality performing arts both in Denmark and internationally.

Program Details

The program supports internationalization through:

  • International guest performances, including tours and site-specific performances where existing concepts are adapted to new contexts.
  • Networking and research for long-term international collaborations and co-productions, including participation in workshops abroad and inviting international guests for performances in Denmark.
  • International residencies.

Applicants are encouraged to integrate international activities into their long-term strategic planning and to include these activities in larger applications for the 'Performing Arts for Children, Young People and Adults' funding program, which has annual deadlines in January and June.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicants include:

  • Independent performing artists
  • Operators organizing or working with performing arts activities

Support cannot be granted to projects exclusively carried out by large institutional theatres, such as The Royal Danish Theatre, the Danish regional theatres, the Jutland Opera, or the theatres in the Copenhagen theatre association.
