About the PCORI Implementation Awards
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is inviting applications for its Implementation Awards. These awards are designed to move research results developed through PCORI-funded research into practical use, ultimately improving healthcare and patient outcomes.
The awards support the implementation of patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) findings and, in some cases, the dissemination of those results to broader audiences.
Types of Projects Funded
- Implementation Projects: Focus on implementing findings from PCORI-funded research to increase reach, uptake, and impact in clinical settings.
- Dissemination Projects: Aim to spread knowledge and raise awareness of PCORI-funded research findings, empowering end-users to apply the evidence.
- Implementation Planning Projects: Support preparatory work necessary to ensure successful implementation of research findings.
Funding Information
- Implementation Projects: Up to $2.5 million in direct costs over four years.
- Dissemination Projects: Up to $300,000 in total costs over three years.
- Implementation Planning Projects: Up to $200,000 in total costs over two years.
Eligibility Criteria
The awards are open to recipients of PCORI-funded research, including Broad PCORI Awards, Targeted PCORI Awards, and others. The Principal Investigator (PI) for the application must have played a significant role in the original PCORI-funded research project.
If the PI is a team member, a letter of support from the original project’s PI will be required.
