The Delfina Foundation is currently accepting applications from contemporary visual artists from West Africa for a residency program in London.

Residency Activities
This residency provides selected artists time and space to develop their work. It includes:
- Guided visits to museums, galleries, non-profits, artist-run spaces, and studios, including trips outside London.
- Opportunities to meet and engage with artists, curators, academics, and researchers through presentations, studio visits, events, and meals.
- Professional development activities such as presentations, portfolio reviews, and mentoring to strengthen the artistic practice.
- Collaborative exchanges through informal gatherings and meals with fellow residents.
Travel and Living Support
Selected applicants will receive the following support for a 12-week residency at Delfina Foundation:
- £35 per day as a living allowance.
- A £1,000 materials budget.
- A return economy-class flight.
- Airport transfers in the UK.
- Reimbursement of visa fees (if applicable).
- Local travel passes for tubes and buses.
- A single bedroom at Delfina Foundation with shared facilities, including bathrooms, laundry rooms, a kitchen, a library, and a dining room.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a national of or currently living and working in one of the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo.
- Be a contemporary visual artist seeking an opportunity to develop their practice through research and access to resources.
- Explain how the experience of an international residency will benefit both the individual and their local networks.
- Proficient in English (the interview will be conducted in English, and applicants are expected to confidently present and discuss their practice and ideas).
