The Japan Foundation has launched the International Creations in Performing Arts Program to organize international creations in performing arts between Japanese and international artists.

The Japan Foundation will bear as its share of the cost to jointly organize the program, less than 70% of the total cost for planning and implementation and a maximum of JPY 10,000,000 (including taxes) per fiscal year.

- Traditional/folk performing arts
- Video art
Eligibility Criteria
Any organization located in Japan that meets the following requirements may apply:
- An organization having legal status in Japan whose area of activities is arts and culture. If the organization applies for this program as an organizing committee, the core group of the organization must have legal status in Japan.
- The collaborative foreign artist(s) must approve the implementation of the project.
- The organization must approve the acceptance of an external expert (i.e., process observer) to record the creation process.
- The organization must be able to produce videos for distribution, including premiere performances after creations, and agree to online distribution by the Japan Foundation.
