Program Overview
This transformative program enables mid-career U.S. professionals to spend between three and twelve months in India, conducting research, building a new professional network, and gaining insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by the world’s most populous democracy. Professionals from academia, business, government, journalism, NGOs, and think tanks are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in India is not required.
Funding Information
The fellowship duration is between three and twelve months. A stipend of $90,000 is awarded for twelve months, with a prorated amount for shorter durations. A modest travel allowance is also provided.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- Applicants must be mid-career professionals.
- A valid U.S. passport that remains valid six months beyond the fellowship is required.
- Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to foreign policy and U.S.-India relations.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
