Impact Incubator Programme for Climate Tech Solutions - Germany

Impact Hub is excited to announce the applications for the Impact Incubator programme, a seven-month incubator for Climate Tech solutions. This program is designed to support early-stage impact entrepreneurs with stipends and tailored business coaching, helping them secure strong partnerships and grow their impact. The programme is funded by the Berliner Startup Stipendium.

Climate tech, also known as clean technology or cleantech, includes a range of technologies and solutions aimed at addressing climate change and reducing environmental impacts. Key focus areas include:

• Energy Efficiency
• Green Building and Construction
• Waste Management
• Agriculture and Food Production
• Carbon Capture and Utilization
• Circular Economy

What Do Ventures Get?

• Individual Coaching: A customised curriculum focusing on business and personal development, with inputs from expert advisors across various industries.
• Community and Coworking: Access to Impact Hub Berlin’s local community, coworking facilities, exclusive community offers, and an online network of changemakers worldwide.
• Visibility and Marketing: Publicity on Impact Hub Berlin’s website and public channels, strategic marketing support, and production of a demo video for each team.
• Financial Support: Each founder receives a monthly stipend of €2,200 for financial security and full focus on venture development.
• Mentoring: Teams are matched with a mentor with entrepreneurial or business experience through a needs assessment and matchmaking event.
• Access to Partners and Networks: Personal introductions to relevant stakeholders, connections with the Berlin community and global network of 24k+ members, plus ecosystem excursions.

Who Are They Looking For?

The Impact Incubator is ideal for startups that:

• Have developed an innovative technological solution for Climate Tech.
• Tackle challenges related to the focus areas listed above.
• Have a functional prototype of their product or service.
• Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to learn and high resilience.
• Are a team of at least two founders holding the majority of the company ownership (if applicable).
• Have not previously received a Berlin Startup Scholarship (including the EXIST scholarship).
• Are willing to establish and/or relocate their company to Berlin.
• Have not yet registered their company (or have been registered for more than three months before application).
• Will not have student or employment status during the programme (a sabbatical from university or work is not compatible).
• Are German/European citizens or have a visa status permitting self-employment in Germany.
