About the Forum
The mandate of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) calls for strengthening and enhancing stakeholder engagement from developing countries. It also aims to build capacity for Internet governance in these regions, drawing fully on local sources of knowledge and expertise.

- Need for diverse voices and a multidisciplinary approach in IGF participation.
- Limited support available for eligible candidates from developing countries at IGF 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
- Represent any stakeholder group.
- From a Least Developed Country, Landlocked Developing Country, Small Island Developing State, or Economy in Transition.
- Engaged in the IGF 2024 process as active contributors.
- Demonstrated interest in Internet governance-related activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to community post-participation.
- Recommended by a respected community member.
- Preference given to underrepresented groups.
Selection Procedure
- The IGF Secretariat evaluates applications based on the above criteria.
- Priority is given to partial funding and first-time applicants.
- Selection is dependent on available funds.
- Final participants are balanced by stakeholder, region, gender, and age.
