Category

Grant

Focus

There will be a particular focus on addressing violence against women and girls.

Types of Grants

Grants for Women Led Organisations

Henry Duncan Grants will provide unrestricted funding to organisations led by women. The organisation’s work needs to focus on supporting women and/or girls (aged 12+) who have experienced gender-based violence. This could include:

  • Working in prevention of gender-based violence
  • Supporting women and girls currently experiencing gender-based violence
  • Working with survivors

Grants for Women Led Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Organisations

These grants will provide unrestricted funding for organisations led by Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women. These organisations work on issues that impact women and/or girls (aged 12+) in their communities. They particularly welcome applications from women-led organisations addressing violence against women and girls, though this is not a requirement.

Theme

The grants are focused on addressing inequality and discrimination, particularly gender-based violence, which disproportionately affects women and girls. This can damage health and wellbeing, limit freedom and potential, and violate fundamental human rights. Women’s organisations are uniquely positioned to lead community-based solutions addressing these issues.

Funding Information

You can apply for up to £8,000 per year, for up to five years – a total grant of £40,000. Applicants are encouraged to request the amount needed for their organisation.
