Grant to Support Collaborative Undertakings in Lankaran-Astara Economic Region (Azerbaijan)
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a grant competition to support participants in the fruit and vegetable value chain by providing non-cash assistance to Collaborative Undertakings that win the grant competition.

This grant competition is part of the project "Promoting Competitiveness, Collaboration and Modernization in the Fruit and Vegetable Sector in Lankaran-Astara Economic Region," funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by UNDP and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The overall objective of the project is to develop modern and competitive fruit and vegetable value chains in the Lankaran-Astara Economic Region.
The total available grant amount is EUR 1,000,000. Grant requests must be between:
- Minimum amount: EUR 10,000
- Maximum amount: EUR 200,000
A minimum of 20% co-financing is required for requests above EUR 100,000.
Who Can Apply?
Collaborative Undertakings applying for grants must meet the following conditions:
- Informally associated Fruit & Vegetable value chain actors (minimum 10 members), including agricultural service providers;
- Farmer unions with members owning a maximum of 10 ha land plots;
- Cooperatives and associations;
- Fruit & Vegetable aggregators associated with at least 20 producers/growers;
- Women groups (minimum 10 members);
- Youth groups (18-29 years old, minimum 10 members);
- Micro (minimum 10 producers/growers), Small (minimum 20 producers/growers), and Medium (minimum 30 producers/growers) sized Entrepreneurs;
- Collaborative undertakings with business ideas in agrotourism;
- Collaborative undertakings with business ideas related to organic agriculture.
Required Documents
Applicants should submit the following documents:
- Fully completed application form, including business plan;
- Protocol on the establishment of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises;
- Protocol on the confirmation of collaborative undertaking members and leader;
- Co-Members Agreement for common assets use (for informally associated farmers groups);
- Registration certificate for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises or any formal Collaborative Undertaking;
- Financial statements of the last three years for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises;
- Co-financing letter.
