DWF Foundation Grant Program
The DWF Foundation provides funds, resources, and mentoring support to help individuals, groups, and communities achieve their full potential. Founded by DWF, the Foundation aims to encourage collaboration and act as a catalyst for change.
Areas of Support
- The DWF Foundation supports registered charities with an impact in one or more of the following areas:
- Homelessness
- Health and wellbeing
- Employability
- Education
- Environment and Sustainability
- Grants are given to initiatives that:
- Tackle specific community issues.
- Help voluntary and community groups become more effective and efficient.
- Encourage the involvement of those too often excluded from the community.
- Enable young people to develop skills for the benefit of the community.
Funding Information
- The Foundation does not have a minimum grant size, but the majority of grants will fall under £5,000.
- Multi-year grants are not funded due to available funds.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are welcome from registered charities only, working in countries with a DWF presence:
- Australia
- Canada
- France
- Germany
- India
- Ireland
- Italy
- Poland
- Qatar
- Spain
- United Arab Emirates
- United Kingdom
- United States
- Applications are not accepted from countries where DWF Foundation has associations but does not fund, including Singapore, South Africa, and Turkey.
- Include your country’s registered charity or not-for-profit number on the application form.
- There are no geographic restrictions other than the presence of a DWF office.
Ineligible Activities
- The DWF Foundation will not fund:
- Academic research
- Activities for which a statutory body is responsible
- Activity taking place in school time that is a statutory responsibility
- Animal welfare
- Evaluation not related to the funded work
- Everyday running costs and core salaries
- General fundraising appeals
- Individuals
- Loans or business finance
- Other grant-making bodies
