Challenge Overview
The Dijon Métropole is launching the Open2Horizon Innovation Challenge as part of the European RESPONSE project. This initiative aims to develop a tool for monitoring and reporting biodiversity actions in the Dijon area. The challenge offers an opportunity to collaborate with Dijon Métropole to create and test innovative solutions for urban biodiversity.
The challenge involves building a tool that will:
- Utilize raw data from existing and future biodiversity studies.
- Communicate biodiversity stories to various audiences including policymakers and the public.
- Report on biodiversity evolution and impact of protective actions based on historical data.
- Support monitoring of biodiversity objectives in alignment with the Climate Plan.
Benefits
The winner of the challenge will receive €25,000 to develop and test their solution. The prize will be awarded in three installments:
- €10,000 at the beginning of the prototyping phase.
- €10,000 at the beginning of the experimentation phase (upon presentation of a prototype).
- €5,000 at the end of the experimentation phase (upon submission of the demonstrator and documentation).
Eligibility
SMEs and startups (with fewer than 250 employees and turnover below €50M) from EU Member States or H2020 Associated Countries are eligible to participate.
