Project Overview
The "Désinfox Côte d'Ivoire" project offers training on the mechanisms of disinformation and their consequences on journalism in the digital age. The aim is to support Ivorian journalists in strengthening their capacities to reduce their vulnerability to information manipulation.
Aim
Implemented in partnership with Polaris Asso, the project aims to reduce risks to social cohesion in Côte d'Ivoire by promoting responsible use of social media and strengthening the resilience of Ivoirians to false information.
Cost Covered
The project will cover travel, accommodation, and catering costs for the trainings. For participants coming from surrounding areas, transport costs will also be covered.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a radio, television, print, or online media outlet
- Be based in Côte d'Ivoire in one of the following locations: Abidjan, Aboisso, Grand-Bassam, Grand-Lahou, Gagnoa, San Pedro, Bondoukou, Abengourou, Adzopé, Séguéla, Man, Daloa, Touba, Divo, Bouaké, Yamoussoukro, Korhogo, Ferkessédougou, Odienné, Bouna
- Have a politically independent editorial line
- Have an audience at the local and/or national level
- The editorial team must include at least three (3) journalists
- Media managers must involve at least two journalists in the on-site training and appoint a journalist-relay to raise awareness among colleagues after remote coaching
