The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova is inviting civil society organisations to apply for a new Call for Proposals as part of EU Support to Civil Society Organisations in the Republic of Moldova. This call focuses on empowering CSOs working in the fields of home affairs, security, and migration.

Objectives

The global objective is to empower Moldovan CSOs to contribute to the democratic transformation of the country, particularly in the sectors of home affairs, security, and migration. The call seeks to foster an inclusive, resilient, and democratic society, while upholding human rights and fundamental freedoms.

The specific objectives are:

  • Strengthening the capacity of CSOs to engage in home affairs, security, and migration dialogues with national authorities and citizens in the context of the enlargement process.
  • Supporting the modernisation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and enhancing the role of civil society in monitoring and advocating for accountability and reform in the home affairs sector.

Priorities

The priorities for this call are to support CSOs working on MIA reforms and promote human rights and gender equality. Partnerships with the Ministry of Internal Affairs are encouraged. The call also prioritises the increased engagement of CSOs with national authorities, voicing citizens' and foreigners' concerns, and may include grassroots organisations at the regional and local level.

Eligibility Criteria

Lead Applicant

  • Must be a legal entity.
  • Non-profit-making organisation.
  • Must be a non-governmental or international (inter-governmental) organisation.
  • Must be established in an EU Member State, Republic of Moldova, or another eligible country under the NDICI-GE regulation.
  • Must be directly responsible for preparing and managing the action.

Co-applicant(s)

The lead applicant must apply with at least one co-applicant. Co-applicants share responsibility in designing and implementing the project and are eligible for funding on the same terms as the lead applicant.
