About the Program

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Georgia has launched its annual call for proposals for Local Small-Scale Projects as part of its Development Cooperation Program. These projects are funded through a grants program managed by the Czech Embassy in Tbilisi.

Focus Areas

The recommended project focus areas include:

  • Rural Development: Supporting community development, broader civil engagement, and youth-oriented activities.
  • Support for Vulnerable Groups: Projects supporting vulnerable families, minority groups, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Climate Resilience: Focusing on strengthening climate resilience, particularly in mountainous regions.

The projects should also emphasize:

  • Involvement of regions and remote areas.
  • EU/Czech experience sharing and know-how.
  • Long-term sustainability.

Funding Information

Eligible project budgets should range from 200,000 CZK to 500,000 CZK (approximately 1 GEL: 8.5 CZK).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a legal entity registered in Georgia, with a non-profit focus.
  • Eligible entities include educational, health, and social-protection organizations, as well as CSOs and associations.
  • Political parties and central public institutions are not eligible.
  • Applicants may submit only one proposal.
  • Personal and travel expenses must not exceed 25% of the total project cost.

The project implementation period is from March 2025 to October 2025.
