Applications are now open to support the development, production, and presentation of new works by independent artists and groups across all art forms.
Purpose
This grant supports:
- The development of new work, which may involve periods in the studio or rehearsal room, or collaboration with other artists.
- Assistance towards various stages of a work’s development, whether or not there is a public outcome.
- Research projects, provided the applicant has a track record of achievement.
- Touring of an established work or exhibition.
- Playwriting, dramaturgy, creative development, manuscript draft and development, and studio work.
- Literature applications for self-publishing, given a compelling case for self-publishing is made, including a strong track record and a viable marketing/distribution plan.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
- Independent artists and groups.
- Groups of professional practicing artists (incorporated or not) who are not receiving annual or multi-year government funding.
Ineligibility Criteria
The following are not eligible:
- Funded organisations: small-to-medium organisations, major organisations.
- Organisations funded through the National Performing Arts Partnership Framework (NPAPF), formerly known as Major Performing Arts (MPA) Companies.
- Statutory Authorities.
