Applications are now open for the Ontario Arts Council program to support the creation, recording, and production of French-language songs and music by professional artists.

Program Categories
- Creation: A project to create new songs or musical works through composition or lyrics. Maximum funding: $5,000.
- Demo or EP Production: Includes all steps from recording to launch for an EP. Maximum funding: $5,000.
- Full-Length Album Production: Includes all stages from recording to album release. Maximum funding: $10,000.
- Show Development: Preparation of a new show of original French-language songs, either physically or virtually. Maximum funding: $8,000.
- Music Video Production: Production of a music video for a French-language song that has already been created and recorded. Maximum funding: $8,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Professional music artists who reside in Ontario.
- Ad hoc groups, collectives, and non-profit music organizations with at least 50% of members residing in Ontario.
- The applicant or a member must be the author-composer or lyricist of the songs, or the composer of the music. Collaboration with French-speaking artists must be specified.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Colleges, universities, and municipalities.
- Organizations receiving operating grants for specific French-language arts programs, such as visual arts, media arts, crafts, broadcasting, edition, service organizations, and theatre.
