Kindness Grows Here is inviting grant applications directly from kids between the ages of 5-18 who have innovative ideas for spreading kindness.
Funding Information
Grants are available for:
- Individuals: Up to $250
- Small Groups (2-4 kids): Up to $500
- Large Groups (5+ kids): Up to $800
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be students between the ages of 5-18.
- Applications can be submitted by individuals or groups (e.g., friends, school clubs, scout troops, sports teams). All members must be between 5-18 years old.
- Funds must be used for projects carried out by the students named on the application. The grants are for students to develop and implement their own ideas to address community problems through kindness.
- The application should be completed in the child's words, though parents or adults can provide additional input if clearly indicated.
- Applications must include a detailed budget; incomplete applications will be disqualified.
Awards Will Be Granted Based On:
- Quality: Detailed and thoughtful application completed by the child.
- Impact: Effort and connection shown through kindness.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Responsible use of funds, cost minimization, and seeking additional donations if needed.
- Creativity: Unique and creative ways of spreading kindness.
- Safety: Measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses, especially if serving at-risk populations.
