The United Nations Global Compact is now accepting applications for its Business & Human Rights Accelerator Programme. This initiative helps businesses transition from commitment to actionable human rights and labour rights practices by establishing a robust human rights due diligence process.
What You Will Learn
- Identifying responsibilities in respecting human rights and labour rights as outlined in the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
- Establishing an ongoing human rights due diligence process aligned with international standards.

- Reporting and communicating on human rights due diligence outcomes, including through the Communication on Progress.

Eligibility Criteria
To participate, companies must be UN Global Compact participants or willing to join. Companies should also:
- Engage with a Global Compact Country Network or be willing to.
- Identify human rights risks and impacts and focus on a core area of the value chain.
- Develop an Action Plan to address identified risks.
- Appoint two working-level representatives and one executive-level representative.
- Commit to completing the programme and integrating learnings into company strategy.
