Purpose

The Quick Response Grants are designed to assist eligible organizations with small amounts of funding (up to $2,000) for:

  • Unforeseen expenses or urgent issues
  • Taking advantage of unexpected opportunities
  • Supporting the establishment of a new group/program

Funding Information

The total funding pool for Quick Response Grants is $40,000 per annum. Eligible projects can receive up to $2,000.

What Can Be Funded?

Funding can cover:

  • Materials, equipment, and other essential items for the project/activity
  • Printing, advertising, translations, and promotional costs
  • Venue hire costs (excluding business premises rental)
  • Costs associated with encouraging participation
  • Seeding grants for new groups formed in the past 12 months

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be based in Bass Coast or the project must be based in Bass Coast
  • Be registered as a not-for-profit legal entity, such as an incorporated association, or be a not-for-profit unincorporated group auspiced by a registered not-for-profit legal entity
  • Have an ABN or provide an ATO Statement by Supplier
  • Not have a debt with the Council, including any previous unacquitted grants

What Can’t Be Funded?

Funding cannot be used for:

  • Items or activities that are part of the organization’s core business or normal day-to-day operating expenses (e.g., wages, insurances, utilities, business premises rental)
  • Office consumables and software, or materials and advertising fundamental to running the group
  • Building works classified as maintenance (e.g., painting)
  • Awards, trophies, prizes, beverages, and catering
  • Individuals, unless auspiced by an eligible organization
  • Projects currently receiving or that have received any other Bass Coast Shire Council support or funding
