About the SAHNE Project
The SAHNE Project is excited to announce an open call for artistic production, targeting artists, art initiatives, and galleries based in Turkey. This initiative focuses on visual arts within the data-based art discipline. Selected works will receive full financial support for production and will be showcased permanently.
The selected artworks will be exhibited at Terra Santa for a year, supported by the Beyoğlu Municipality. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure and contribute to the field of data-based art.
Eligibility Criteria
This open call is open to all artists with at least 3 years of artistic experience, which must be documented during the application process. Applications are welcome for interdisciplinary works that integrate data visualization with photography, audio, video, and installation media. The focus is on data captured on hate speech, discrimination, and disinformation.
Evaluation Criteria
Submitted projects will be evaluated based on:
- Artistic quality
- Budget
- Feasibility
- Sustainability
- Intersectionality
- Interdisciplinary approach
The Turkey-Europe Foundation will manage the process, with selection conducted by an independent jury composed of artists, curators, cultural managers, academics, journalists, human rights activists, project managers, and contemporary art critics. The jury's names will be publicly disclosed when evaluation results are announced.
