Objectives
- Strengthen cooperation and learning between Scotland and Ireland through bilateral funding for joint projects.
- Foster partnerships and networks within and beyond academia.
- Encourage the initiation or development of new partnerships.
- Contribute to policy discussions in both countries on specified thematic areas.
Themes
The grants focus on ‘Business and Economic Relationships’. Applications addressing environmental aspects within this theme, such as renewable energy, are especially welcome. This includes interdisciplinary projects across Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Funding Information
The maximum grant amount is £12,500 per project, with a duration of 3–6 months. Applications must include a partner from the other country (Ireland or Scotland) and can span various disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to academic researchers in higher education institutions (HEIs) or research institutes (RIs) in Scotland or Ireland.
- Lead applicants must be full or part-time academics on open-ended, continuing, or fixed-term contracts extending beyond the grant period.
- Applications must include a co-investigator from the other country.
- Projects are encouraged to include early career researchers (ECRs) and demonstrate inclusion and diversity.
