- Openness to Diverse Perspectives: Willingness to engage with diverse cultures, institutions, ideologies, and forms of knowledge. Respectful collaboration across differences.
- Leadership and Community Engagement: Active participation in academia and beyond, with aspirations for leadership roles. Ability to apply research for the benefit of the wider public.

Eligibility Criteria
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or foreign national enrolled in a Canadian doctoral program.
- Registered or accepted into a full-time doctoral program (year one or two).
- Field of study related to humanities, social sciences, or human sciences relevant to Canada's future.
