The Fulbright Turkey invites applications for the PhD Thesis Research Scholarship for doctoral students in Turkey.

Candidates working in the following fields, particularly in relation to combating the effects of climate change, are encouraged to apply:

- Environmental Engineering
- Marine Sciences
- Energy
- Physical Sciences
- Climate Science
- Geology / Geological Engineering
- Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
- Meteorological Engineering
- Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering
Funding Information
Scholarships of up to $60,000 per academic year will cover the following:
- Tuition fees and expenses
- Monthly living expenses (based on the city of destination)
- $1000 for books and $350 for settlement
- Round trip airfare expense of $2,000
- ASPE health insurance
Duration: One academic year (9 months)
Eligibility Criteria
- Doctoral students enrolled in a PhD program in Turkey who have completed or are about to complete the coursework and have determined their thesis topic by the application deadline.
- Advanced knowledge of English at an academic level.
- Demonstrate maturity, reliability, integrity, and professionalism.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Non-citizens of Turkey
- Individuals with American citizenship or Green Card holders
- Those residing, working, or studying in the USA during the application process
- Those who have resided in the USA for five years or more in the past six years
- Candidates pursuing training in clinical sub-branches of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, and Psychology requiring one-on-one patient contact
