The Novo Nordisk Foundation is now accepting applications for its prestigious Laureate Research Grant. This grant aims to support the recruitment or retainment of exceptional established biomedical researchers to advance their work in Denmark. Applications are open for researchers who wish to move to Denmark from abroad or continue their research within the country.

Funding Information

The grant provides up to DKK 50 million for projects with a duration of up to 7 years. This substantial funding is aimed at enabling significant advancements in biomedical research.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Laureate Research Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a principal investigator with an independent research program directed for at least 7 years.
  • If awarded, work on-site at a Danish host institution for at least 75% of a full-time position. Clinicians must reduce clinical commitments to 25% of a full-time position.
  • Establish a fully operational research group in Denmark within two years of receiving the grant.
  • Have any nationality.
  • Not be a member of a NNF expert review committee or an employee within the Novo Group of companies.

Host Institution

The host institution can be any university, university hospital, public research institution, or other non-profit organization in Denmark.
