The Les Paul Foundation is now accepting applications for its Grant Program. This program supports innovative and creative projects aligned with the Foundation's mission.
Priorities
Grants from the Les Paul Foundation prioritize:
- Programs and projects that align with the Foundation's mission: inspiring innovative and creative thinking by sharing the legacy of Les Paul through support of music education, recording, innovation, and medical research related to tinnitus through the Hearing Health Foundation.
- Innovative and effective ways to share Les Paul’s story. The Foundation requires more than just naming their name on a program or plaque; a detailed plan on how Les Paul’s story will be shared is needed.
- Demonstrating additional funding from sources beyond the Les Paul Foundation.
- Realistic initial funding requests to establish a relationship with the Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible organizations must:
- Be located and operating programs in the United States
- Be classified by the Internal Revenue Service as public charities and tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

Funding consideration is given to:
- Programs that encourage innovation in music production and/or performance
- Innovative STEM or STEAM programs for students and others in challenging situations
- Medical research related to curing tinnitus and other hearing impairment issues
Other types of funding are by invitation only. All proposals must describe how Les Paul’s story will be shared.
