The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) invites applications for implementation projects that promote the uptake of peer-reviewed findings from its high-priority patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER).

PCORI aims to support projects that transition evidence from research into practical use to improve healthcare and patient outcomes. Through this grant, applicants are encouraged to propose meaningful projects that integrate PCORI-funded evidence into real-world practice settings, particularly in primary care and underserved communities.

Focus Areas for Cycle 3, 2024
- Intensive Lifestyle Treatment for Weight Loss in Primary Care Settings: Targeting obesity treatment for underserved populations.
- Nonsurgical Treatment for Women with Urinary Incontinence (UI): Addressing treatment gaps for the millions of women affected by UI.
- Treatments for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Implementing effective therapies to improve outcomes for PTSD patients.
- Appropriate Antibiotic Prescribing for Children with Acute Respiratory Tract Infections (ARTIs): Encouraging the use of narrow-spectrum antibiotics like amoxicillin.
Funding Information
- Grant Amount: Up to $2.5 million in direct costs.
- Duration: 4 years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must focus on PCORI-identified evidence in CER and should demonstrate capability to implement the findings in real-world settings.
Eligible organizations include both nonprofit and for-profit institutions. US-based applicants must have a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and comply with PCORI’s standard agreement terms. Strong stakeholder partnerships are encouraged.
