Emerald Publishing and TLC@MDI Gurgaon invite applications for their joint case writing competition. This competition aims to promote high-quality teaching cases relevant to the Indian economy and enhance case-writing capabilities among Indian authors.

Prize Information

The total award prize fund is $2,000:

  • $1,000 for the winner
  • $500 each for two runners-up

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, your case should:

  • Focus on developing and emerging markets from India.
  • Include at least one author based at a higher education institution in India (co-authors from outside India are permitted).
  • Be based on a real situation in a real company.
  • Be a teaching case under 7,000 words, not including the teaching note. Academic (research) cases are not accepted.
  • Not have been published before or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Meet the standard EMCS author guidelines for compact cases.
  • Include a completed and signed consent to publish release form.

Submitted cases will enter a peer-review process. Selected cases will be published in the Scopus-ranked EMCS collection (ISSN 2045 0621). By participating, you agree to publish your case study in EMCS, subject to acceptance after peer review and any necessary revisions.
