The British Academy is inviting applications from UK-based scholars for their Small Research Grants Program. This opportunity is open to both collaborative and individual research projects, including international groups of scholars.

Funding Information
The British Academy has partnered with the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan to co-fund two Small Research Grants for this round. The total grant amount requested can be up to £10,000, with up to £5,000 covered by the British Academy for UK participants and up to £5,000 covered by NSTC for Taiwan participants.
Applications are preferred for research programs of no longer than 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be at postdoctoral or equivalent level in the humanities or social sciences. Equivalent experience includes holding, or having held, an established post, having a record of publications, or having teaching experience.
- Postgraduate students are not eligible to apply.
- Be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, or Channel Islands, or currently employed overseas by a recognized UK overseas research organization.
- UK research organizations based overseas may apply if they meet certain conditions, including being registered charities with the Charity Commission and demonstrating an independent capability to undertake research.
Grants will not be awarded retrospectively; work must not have commenced before the award announcement.
