The Government of South Australia is pleased to announce the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grant Program, designed to support the creative development, production, and presentation of new work by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and cultural practitioners.
Funding Information
Grants of up to $25,000 are available. The funding can be used for:
- Creative development and/or production of work, including research and planning.
- Exhibitions and touring costs regionally, nationally, and internationally.
- Presentation opportunities to enhance your profile locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Performance opportunities.
- Research projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individual artists, groups, and arts and cultural organisations.
- Non-Aboriginal led organisations that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, culture, and practice, provided they demonstrate appropriate consultation and protocols.
- Small-to-medium organisations, major organisations, and Statutory Authorities.
- Arts and cultural organisations and Aboriginal arts centres can submit and/or auspice grants on behalf of individual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts and cultural workers.
- Applicants must be professional practicing artists or arts workers/cultural workers, Australian citizens or permanent residents, and live in South Australia for six months or more per year.
Ineligibility
The following are ineligible for the grant:
- Non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals.
- Applicants with an outstanding acquittal for a previous grant.
- Organisations that are insolvent or under administration.
