Overview

The ACM Lifting Lives, in partnership with Music Has Value, is offering the Music and the Mind Grant with a focus on Music & Memory Care. This grant aims to support organizations using music therapy to benefit mental and emotional health.

Funding Information

Grant amounts generally range from $5,000 to $10,000.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicants include organizations that:

  • Use music therapy to provide direct memory care support for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or cognitive decline.
  • Support the mental and emotional health of the country music industry by providing direct services.
  • Provide music therapy programs for mental or physical health, including the purchase or repair of musical instruments or related equipment.

Ineligible proposals include:

  • Fundraisers or endowments
  • Organizations not based in the United States
  • Purchase of collections
  • Documentaries, recording projects, demo tapes, or performance events for commercial purposes
  • Commercial purposes (such as CD reissues or textbooks/A/V packages)
  • Competitions or related expenses
  • Marketing, publicity, or design costs
  • Capital campaigns
