Program Overview
Fellows will gain hands-on experience by working directly with communities and learning from innovative methods used by organizations in Asia to tackle critical social challenges. The program offers a unique opportunity to engage in various activities and tasks with local partners, including:
- Education: Enhancing student development through critical thinking and cross-cultural communication, aiming to improve access to future education and career opportunities.
- Training & Capacity-building: Developing training resources and curricula to boost organizational operations and impact. Responsibilities may include needs assessment, research, program design, facilitation, and evaluation.
- Community Development: Supporting community development and international communication efforts by facilitating resources, networks, and collaboration. Tasks may involve fundraising, project management, and community outreach.
Funding Information
Fellows receive per diems that vary depending on the country and city, ranging from $200 to $800 per month based on the local cost of living. This amount is comparable to a local salary and allows for a comfortable living standard. The exact per diem will be detailed in the placement offer letter for selected candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be starting or experienced professionals who have completed at least a 4-year undergraduate degree by the start date of the fellowship. Due to visa and work permit restrictions, fellowship posts are typically available to US citizens/residents or individuals who have earned their degree from a US university. Non-US citizens' eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
